Each student makes three quilts over the course of the Coffee Creek Quilters program. With the first quilt, they learn to accurately cut fabric, operate a sewing machine, sew a standard quarter inch seam, and finish the quilt with straight stitch quilting and binding. They expand their skills with the second quilt which usually includes half square triangles. Students can pick their own patterns and fabrics for the third quilt.
